| | 2 | 主阿、求你聽我的聲音．願你側耳聽我懇求的聲音。
O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy. | |
| | 3 | 主耶和華阿、你若究察罪孽、誰能站得住呢．
If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand? | |
| | 4 | 但在你有赦免之恩、要叫人敬畏你。
But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared. | |
| | 5 | 我等候耶和華、我的心等候．我也仰望他的話。
I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope. | |
| | 6 | 我的心等候主、勝於守夜的等候天亮、勝於守夜的等候天亮。
My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. | |
| | 7 | 以色列阿、你當仰望耶和華．因他有慈愛、有豐盛的救恩。
O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. | |
| | 8 | 他必救贖以色列脫離一切的罪孽。
He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins. | |
