| | 1 | 智慧建造房屋，凿成七根柱子，
Wisdom has built her house; she has hewn out its seven pillars. | |
| | 2 | 宰杀牲畜，调和旨酒，设摆筵席。
She has prepared her meat and mixed her wine; she has also set her table. | |
| | 3 | 打发使女出去，自己在城中至高处呼叫，
She has sent out her maids, and she calls from the highest point of the city. | |
| | 4 | 说，谁是愚蒙人，可以转到这里来。又对那无知的人说，
"Let all who are simple come in here!" she says to those who lack judgment. | |
| | 5 | 你们来，吃我的饼，喝我调和的酒。
"Come, eat my food and drink the wine I have mixed. | |
| | 6 | 你们愚蒙人，要舍弃愚蒙，就得存活。并要走光明的道。
Leave your simple ways and you will live; walk in the way of understanding. | |
| | 7 | 指斥亵慢人的，必受辱骂。责备恶人的，必被玷污。
"Whoever corrects a mocker invites insult; whoever rebukes a wicked man incurs abuse. | |
| | 8 | 不要责备亵慢人，恐怕他恨你。要责备智慧人，他必爱你。
Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man and he will love you. | |
| | 9 | 教导智慧人，他就越发有智慧。指示义人，他就增长学问。
Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning. | |
| | 10 | 敬畏耶和华，是智慧的开端。认识至圣者，便是聪明。
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. | |
| | 11 | 你借着我，日子必增多，年岁也必加添。
For through me your days will be many, and years will be added to your life. | |
| | 12 | 你若有智慧，是与自己有益。你若亵慢，就必独自担当。
If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer." | |
| | 13 | 愚昧的妇人喧嚷。她是愚蒙，一无所知。
The woman Folly is loud; she is undisciplined and without knowledge. | |
| | 14 | 她坐在自己的家门口，坐在城中高处的座位上，
She sits at the door of her house, on a seat at the highest point of the city, | |
| | 15 | 呼叫过路的，就是直行其道的人，
calling out to those who pass by, who go straight on their way. | |
| | 16 | 说，谁是愚蒙人，可以转到这里来。又对那无知的人说，
"Let all who are simple come in here!" she says to those who lack judgment. | |
| | 17 | 偷来的水是甜的，暗吃的饼是好的。
"Stolen water is sweet; food eaten in secret is delicious!" | |
| | 18 | 人却不知有阴魂在她那里。她的客在阴间的深处。
But little do they know that the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of the grave. | |
